ABOUT HEATHER HOESCH OLSEN

You’re probably wondering—who is this?


Hi! I’m Heather, expert wedding planner, wedding industry educator, mentor, business coach, a podcast host and someone obsessed with helping wedding planners succeed.

I never set out to be a business owner. I worked as an in house coordinator for years and realized in order to chase my dreams I had to start out on my own. So I leaped with wedding experience and a new website template so unprepared to be an entrepreneur. I was lonely, stressed and wished I had a community to figure things out together.

I then found myself joining another planner to build an incredible team, company and reputation. In a matter of a few years, I learned through trial and error how to build a brand, how to grow a team, how to manage a team, how to do payroll, how to manage salaries, how to maintain standards, how to improve processes and so much more.

I talk with planners all the time who struggle to make running their business a priority. But with the right plan, you can run a solid and profitable business -and I can’t wait to show you how.

  • This workshop was created with business owners in mind. Planners who feel ready to spend two days focusing less on their clients and more on making sure they are building a solid company.

    Running a wedding planning business isn't for the faint of heart, if you have a business partner or manager, you are welcome to attend together.

    2+ years in business required.

  • Each workshop is limited to 24 seats. Please secure your seat as soon as you know you can attend as it will very likely sell out.

  • I look forward to welcoming you to Orange County, CA. The workshop is in Huntington Beach, just a few minutes from some of the very best beach in California. I highly recommend these hotels: Pasea, Hilton Waterfront, Hyatt Regency & Shorebreak.

    Orange County/John Wayne Airport is the closest, with LAX/ Los Angeles International about an hour away.

    You are welcome to rent a car, there is ample parking at the venue or if you prefer, Uber/Lyft are easy to get.

  • While there is a healthy amount of discussion on all four workshops, this one is specifically done in a way where you can dive into your business and get the collective support of the Heather, the attendees, panelists & speakers.

    And unlike the other workshops that are filmed, this one is not. So that it can be a safe space to discuss hopes, dreams, hardships, financials, legal questions and so much more.

  • In the previous years of the planner workshop there was never enough time to really deep dive into the business of weddings. For years, planners have requested a workshop to focus on this, and I am so excited to provide the opportunity for you to focus on your business with the tools, education and community you need to succeed.
